Yesterday was one of my toughest days. I had to put my precious Augie to sleep with the angels. She had been diagnosed in early May with lymphoma, so I was able to have four and a half special months with her before the disease took over completely. Augie and Chatum have been my most steady and faithful companions through the last two most difficult years of my life. They both have given me comfort and companionship in dealing with the divorce and the tragic passing of my Mom. Augie was my "tomboy" who loved to play and roughhouse, while Chatum is a little more prim and proper. Augie had her sensitive side though, and she knew when I needed a little extra love and attention...she was quick to give sweet little "kisses", and just hang around my side when I needed to feel her close. Chatum and I were with her for her peaceful passing. She will forever be my sweet angel, Augusta Pearl.

very nice - she even liked me too! Augie never posted any mean comments like other dogs I know.
Dear Myke, Our hearts are heavy tonight getting the news about Augie - we know exactly how you are feeling and it really hurts. We've had our share of having to put some really special pets to sleep and it was never easy. She will be missed by all, especially Casey who looked so forward to taking care of the two girls while you were away - take care and we love you - Joan
We continue to have you in our prayers. What an emotional time this has been for you - both very sad times and the new wonderful times with Phil. Thank you for sharing so much of your life with us.
Bob and Sherry
Dear Myke:
So sorry to hear about Augie. She was a great puppy even though she and her buddy liked to take running shoes and hide them.
We are thinking of you
