Back in the Swing of Things

We arrived home Tuesday evening and we're glad to be back. Traveling is fun, but there's nothing like coming home. Back to work on Wednesday, and it was like we were never gone. Renee and Jerry did a great job, as usual, of taking care of business. I would never feel comfortable leaving for any length of time if I didn't feel like everything at work was taken care of. Having a competent, experienced staff is priceless.

I had a check up with my cardiologist on Thursday to start me on a new medication. We think the culprit of my bout with hives was attributed to the MulTaq I was taking for the atrial flutters. I've started a new drug and hope this will do the trick without the itch! I'm also nursing a bit of plantar faciitis on my heel. I need for the pain to go away quickly in my heel. Phil and I have invited some of our tennis buddies down for a long weekend of practice. We both have national tournaments in September that we are getting ready for. It will be great to get some practice sessions in with our friends. Fran Chandler and Shelly Works will be here, along with Shelly's husband, Scott, and Armistead Neely. Promises to be a super weekend fun tennis and fellowship!

My next post will be closer to mid September as I prepare to leave for Salinas, California. Barring any unforeseen illness or injury I'll be heading out on September 18th. Until then....
